Background: Over three decades of experience as a commercial fisherman, guide and logger, leader of Metis society, developed housing and development program for La Ronge, counselling and ministry work, joined Cameco as Elder/Knowledge keeper at Key Lake in December 2023

Sanderson advises people to sit down with an elder if they feel stuck or are closing themselves off to others. “I encourage you to have an open heart and an open mind, because I know many out there are struggling,” he says. He can offer his ear and a prayer, and says elders are more than happy to listen and be there for you.
